Three law enforcement officers were killed and two others injured during a shooting in York County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police Col. Christopher L. Paris. The incident occurred after officers were serving a search warrant when they came under fire. The gunman was later shot and killed by police.

Paris stated that the two wounded officers are in critical but stable condition at a local hospital. He emphasized that investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community, though the scene remained active as of Wednesday evening. The shooting took place near the 1800 block of Haar Road in North Codorus Township, south of York, just after 2 p.m. Officials described the incident as part of a domestic-related investigation initiated earlier in the week.

A procession was held Wednesday night for the three deceased officers, with police and fire vehicles from multiple municipalities participating. The route began at the shooting site and concluded at the York County Prison, where the county coroner’s office is located. Attendees included emergency responders and residents, though details about the officers’ identities, ages, or departments remained undisclosed.

The shooter’s identity and motives are under investigation, with officials withholding specific information about the incident’s location and involved personnel.
