A shooting occurred at Oklahoma State University’s Carreker East residential hall early Sunday morning, leaving multiple individuals hospitalized, according to local authorities.
OSU Police Chief Michael Beckner confirmed that officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3:40 a.m. at the campus residence hall. At least one OSU student was among the victims, who were transported to hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. No updates on their conditions were immediately provided.
Beckner revealed that campus police initially received information about a gunshot victim at a McDonald’s several miles from the university before being alerted to the shooting on campus. Upon arriving at the residential hall, officers found no immediate victims but later learned of three individuals hospitalized after the incident. All victims were reported in stable condition by Sunday afternoon.
Authorities emphasized there was no ongoing threat to the campus and urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact OSU Police. No suspects or motives have been disclosed at this time.
