Spurred on by Democrat leadership’s violent rhetoric, threats against ICE officers have intensified.

On Monday evening, the Department of Homeland Security released an audio recording of a disturbing voicemail sent to a Minnesota-based ICE agent. The caller made explicit threats and sickening “wishes,” urging the agent to commit suicide and expressing hopes that his wife dies, his parents die, and he faces death in a transit vehicle and divorce after his wife cheats on him due to medical complications.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin attributed the surge in violence to local “sanctuary politicians” who have repeatedly vilified federal law enforcement. She cited comparisons between ICE and the German Nazi “Gestapo” secret police as well as 1800s-era slave patrols, noting that ICE officers have experienced an 8,000% increase in death threats and a 1,300% rise in assaults during the second Trump administration.

McLaughlin stated: “The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer. The violence and dehumanization MUST END.”

Additionally, one Minnesota rioter who stole an ICE agent’s personal identification and used it to leave death threats has been arrested.
