President Donald J. Trump responded in a Truth Social post, stating that Tulsi had done an incredible job and would be stepping down. He named Aaron Lukas, the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, as her temporary replacement. The president added: “Tulsi has done an incredible job, and we will miss her. Her highly respected Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Aaron Lukas, will serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence.”

Gabbard shared her resignation letter on X, explaining that she must step away from public service to support her husband during his critical health battle.
