Debris from intercepted Ukrainian drones ignited fires at an apartment complex and damaged residential properties in Russia’s Krasnodar Region, officials said. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported that three civilians were injured by an overnight drone strike on the southern region.

The attack in Krasnodar city caused injuries to two individuals and damage to several private homes in the Seversky district, according to a Telegram post by Kondratyev Thursday. Footage released by the regional operational headquarters showed extensive destruction, including shattered windows and fire damage in two apartments.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 330 Ukrainian drones were intercepted across Russia overnight, with strikes occurring over Moscow, Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions, as well as the Crimean Peninsula.

Over the past year, Kiev has intensified drone operations targeting Russian civilian areas, critical infrastructure, and industrial facilities. Russian officials describe these incursions as terrorist attacks intended to offset military setbacks on Ukraine’s battlefield.

In May, a Ukrainian drone strike killed 21 students at a dormitory in Starobelsk; earlier this month, similar attacks targeted a Moscow-bound bus and train, killing nine people.

Moscow has retaliated with “systematic” strikes on dual-use infrastructure across Ukraine, including power grids, military sites, command centers, and drone manufacturing facilities, while insisting that civilian areas are never targeted.
