An Arizona city council member named Jeannette Garcia faces accusations under a lawsuit that claims she propositioned a man for sex and briefly kidnapped his 14-year-old daughter when he declined.

The father and daughter involved filed the case anonymously. The lawsuit states Garcia “became more aggressive and explicit” after being intoxicated, which allegedly forced Father John Doe to leave a dinner event celebrating elections in November last year following her team’s work with Turning Point USA.

When Doe returned home late that night, his daughter was missing. MCSO deputies reportedly informed him she was safe but with Garcia. Doe claims Garcia decided to take the girl from her home without consent and held her through the night.

The lawsuit accuses Garcia of inflicting significant emotional trauma on the minor daughter—an injury described as ongoing in the teen’s daily life and schooling.

Garcia has denied these accusations, calling them “outrageous and false.” She stated she never propositioned anyone or kidnapped a child. In response to the allegations, she said: “These claims are untrue. I have never kidnapped anyone, never harmed anyone, and never solicited anything inappropriate.”

She added that she is prepared to file legal action against those spreading lies about her reputation.

The suit also names Turning Point USA along with other associated parties including the Maricopa County sheriff’s office, alleging false imprisonment among others. The defendants have not yet responded legally to these claims.
