Dan Bongino returned to Sean Hannity’s show on Wednesday, expressing his frustration with recent media coverage of national crime statistics.

During the segment, Bongino highlighted a headline from Axios claiming the homicide rate had reached its lowest level since the 1900s. He noted that the article provided numerous excuses for why President Trump and his administration did not address crime effectively, in contrast to his personal experience living through such issues.

Minutes later, Bongino cited a New York Times headline stating that “Kash Patel’s FBI Has Made America Less Safe.”

“Do these people even read their own headlines?” he said. “They’re like a full diaper—always needing someone else to do the work.”

Bongino argued that the media has never worn a badge, arrested criminals, or engaged in law enforcement activities, and therefore lacks understanding of national safety efforts. He pointed to recent measures including border security, military strength under Pete Hegseth, and increased FBI arrests as factors contributing to declining murder rates.
