FBI Director Kash Patel reaffirmed on Sunday that the bureau is conducting an exhaustive investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk, emphasizing its commitment to uncovering all facets of the case. In a detailed post on X, Patel outlined multiple theories under scrutiny, including “hand gestures observed as potential ‘signals’ near Charlie at the time of his assassination,” which have gained attention on the platform.

The “hands signal” theory has sparked significant discussion, with some videos amassing over 2 million views. However, Blake Marnell, known online as Brick Suit, highlighted that the individual allegedly involved in signaling was Kirk’s friend and Christian author Frank Turek. Patel reiterated the FBI’s dedication to pursuing every lead, stating, “We are meticulously investigating theories and questions, including the location from where the shot was taken, the possibility of accomplices, the text message confession and related conversations, Discord chats, the angle of the shot and bullet impact, how the weapon was transported, hand gestures observed as potential ‘signals’ near Charlie at the time of his assassination, and visitors to the alleged shooter’s residence in the hours and days leading up to September 10, 2025.”

The FBI addressed rumors about a plane allegedly turning off its transponder after departing near the assassination site. Patel clarified that interviews with the pilot and FAA consultations confirmed the transponder was not disabled, attributing the data gap to incomplete flight information in rural areas. The bureau emphasized its resolve to “deliver justice” while safeguarding the investigation’s integrity. “We will not rest until justice is served,” Patel stated, underscoring the FBI’s ongoing efforts to answer all questions surrounding Kirk’s death.
