Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika, gave her first full interview since her husband’s death to Fox News’ Jesse Watters. The conversation, set to air on Wednesday, November 5th, included a preview clip detailing how she addresses her daughter’s questions about Charlie.
In the clip, Erika described explaining Charlie’s absence to their three-year-old daughter, who continues to ask, “Where’s Daddy?” She shared that she told her child, “Daddy’s in Heaven,” and added, “If ever you want to talk to Daddy, just look up to the sky and start talking to him. He can hear you.” When the girl asked, “You think I can go sometime?” Erika responded, “Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day.”
Erika also reflected on how she broke the news of Charlie’s death to their daughter during a press conference days after his assassination. She explained her approach to discussing such a complex topic with a young child, stating, “What do you tell a 3-year-old? I said, ‘Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.’”
The interview highlights the emotional challenges of grieving while supporting young children, with Erika emphasizing her efforts to provide comfort and clarity. The family has requested prayers for the Kirk children and their extended relatives during this difficult time.
