The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has ordered Bill and Hillary Clinton to appear for depositions related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, according to a letter from Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY). The committee emphasized that the Clintons must comply with lawful subpoenas and attend scheduled in-person depositions, stating that further delays are unacceptable.
Comer’s letter outlined the requirement for Bill Clinton’s deposition on December 17, 2025, and Hillary Clinton’s deposition on December 18, 2025. The committee previously approved a motion in July to issue subpoenas for both Clintons, with the aim of informing legislative solutions to combat sex trafficking and reforming non-prosecution agreements.
The letter noted that the committee is focused on the Clintons’ personal relationships with Epstein and Maxwell, highlighting their private citizen connections as relevant to the investigation. It stated that any attempt to avoid depositions would be considered a defiance of lawful subpoenas, potentially leading to contempt proceedings. The committee remains committed to ensuring transparency for survivors of Epstein’s crimes and the American people.
