Former first lady Jill Biden has drawn criticism for her recent assertion that she was very concerned about former President Joe Biden during his disastrous 2024 presidential debate and had never acted differently before or since.

ABC’s “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin expressed disappointment, stating: “I’m a little disappointed in the fact that she was living with Joe Biden. She must have seen some of his decline. She must have seen it.”

Fellow co-host Joy Behar questioned whether Jill Biden should have privately told her husband he did not need to run for another term, noting: “I think she should have told him, ‘Joe, do you really think you should run again?’ Because he promised us that he’s going to be a one-term president.”

The remarks follow Jill Biden’s description of her husband’s cancer diagnosis as “shocking” in an interview. She cited medical guidelines from the American Urological Association, explaining that prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests are no longer recommended for men over 70 due to the slow-growing nature of the cancer.

Additionally, Jill Biden’s former press secretary has criticized the White House for shielding President Biden from public view during the debate, responding to reports that the First Lady believed her husband may have been having a stroke at the time.
