Jimmy Kimmel has proposed an Emmy Award to President Donald Trump during his January 15 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on the condition that Trump withdraws Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from Minneapolis.
The offer came after Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado presented Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal. During a White House meeting, Machado described the gift as “a recognition for his unique commitment with our freedom.”
In his monologue, Kimmel quipped: “Rarely does a president yank a Nobel Prize off of someone’s neck.” He added that Trump was now “sucking on it like a pacifier,” urging him to agree to pull ICE from Minneapolis and return agents to U.S. borders for Kimmel to award the prize.
Trump confirmed the presentation on social media, calling Machado’s gesture “a wonderful gesture of mutual respect.”
