The state of Oklahoma has announced a partnership with Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to establish chapters in all public high schools, according to State Superintendent Ryan Walters. The initiative, highlighted in a video posted on X, aims to promote conservative values and student-led activism.

Under the plan, any high school with at least three students expressing interest in founding a TPUSA chapter will receive support from the organization. This includes guidance on securing official recognition, connecting with field representatives, and obtaining resources such as constitutions, bylaws, and an Activism Kit containing promotional materials.

Walters emphasized the initiative’s goal to counter “liberal propaganda” and resistance from “teachers unions,” stating, “Our kids must get involved and active.” The program is framed as a response to what officials describe as ideological shifts in education, with TPUSA positioning itself as a platform for students to advocate for American values.

The move follows the recent death of Charlie Kirk, founder of TPUSA, who was killed in an apparent assassination. Walters referenced the event as a catalyst for the expansion, calling it “the spark that set it off.” The initiative has sparked debate over the role of political organizations in public schools, with calls for other states to adopt similar measures.
