U.S. Senator Ted Cruz removed offensive graffiti that targeted conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to a video shared on his X account. The message, which read “Fck Charlie Kirk,” appeared on a wall near a railing on Highway 59 in Houston. Cruz used white paint to cover the profane text and stated the Texas Department of Transportation had been informed. “Texans don’t have to look at this hateful garbage anymore,” Cruz said in the post. The graffiti referenced Kirk, who was killed during a planned speaking event at Utah Valley University. His suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was arrested and is scheduled for court appearance. While some offensive messages have surfaced nationwide since Kirk’s death, positive murals honoring his life have also emerged.
