President Trump has issued a sharp warning to Colombian President Gustavo Petro, telling him to “watch his as” and demanding he immediately shut down Colombia’s cocaine factories “fast,” claiming the United States “knows where they are.”

The remarks followed Petro’s recent criticism of U.S. actions regarding Venezuelan oil tankers, in which he described Southwestern America as stolen land. During a Monday press conference at Mar-a-lago, Trump confirmed plans for “land strikes” targeting regions where drugs flow—extending beyond Venezuela alone—and noted sanctions imposed on Petro and his family in October remain in effect.

Petro had previously stated: “Texas is a territory that was invaded. It wasn’t sold. So was California and all of the southern U.S.” Tensions between the leaders have intensified amid ongoing seizures of Venezuelan oil tankers in the Caribbean, reflecting broader friction between the United States and Venezuela.
