Lara Trump hinted on Miranda Devine’s “Pod Force One” podcast that other members of the Trump family may pursue political office in the future, stating she has considered running for U.S. Senate twice.
“ heating over the past eleven, almost twelve years now, and I’ve watched the impact that he’s been able to make in people’s lives and it’s amazing,” she said, referring to Donald Trump. “He’s dealt with h, right? He has gone through so much.”
The daughter-in-law added that her father-in-law’s influence has inspired her family’s political ambitions: “I would consider running for a possible Senate seat. So I would never say never to anything. What I do feel like… the timing has to be right, and it didn’t work out for me in 2022, it didn’t work out for me in 2025.”
When asked about Donald Trump’s response to her potential runs, Lara Trump remarked: “I don’t think I’ve had a bigger champion in running for a Senate seat than my father-in-law.” She further noted that her father-in-law regularly contacted her with recommendations from diverse backgrounds.
Neither Donald Trump Jr. nor Eric Trump has confirmed future presidential aspirations but have both left their options open. Donald Trump Jr. recently suggested he might run someday, stating: “I think my father has truly changed the Republican Party.” Eric Trump recently indicated an “easy” path for a family dynasty once his father leaves the White House.
