President Donald Trump took a victory lap on Truth Social Wednesday afternoon, congratulating Republican candidate Clay Fuller on his win in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District while criticizing former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Fuller, who secured Trump’s endorsement earlier in the race, defeated Democrat Shawn Harris to win the runoff election for the seat previously held by Greene. The victory maintains Republican control of the district and underscores Trump’s continued influence within the party.
In a social media post, Trump referred to Greene as a “traitor,” stating: “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown’s (GREEN TURNS TO BROWN UNDER STRESS!) seat in Congress has been taken over by a wonderful and talented man, Clay Fuller, who won convincingly, and right from the beginning, despite many people running for that ‘TRUMP’ +37 seat, and despite the stench left by Greene.”
Trump’s comments followed a series of posts by Greene, which included an urgent call for President Trump to be removed under the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. On social media, Greene wrote: “25TH AMENDMENT!!! Not a single bomb has dropped on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization. This is evil and madness.”
Greene’s post also featured a screenshot of Trump’s recent warning that Iran’s “civilization will die tonight.” The former representative criticized Trump for military actions in Iran and high gas prices, stating: “It didn’t have to be this way!!!”
