President Donald Trump shared a heartfelt moment during an appearance on Fox & Friends, recounting how his 19-year-old son Barron Trump was deeply affected by the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Trump described Barron’s excitement about meeting Kirk for the first time and his subsequent admiration for the late figure.

The president recalled that Barron had requested an introduction to Kirk, leading to a lunch meeting between the two. Afterward, Barron reportedly told Trump, “That guy is great!” Trump expressed surprise at his son’s interest, joking he expected Barron to ask for an audience with someone like King Charles instead.

Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot while speaking on the campus of Utah Valley University. Trump noted that Barron was “very hurt” upon learning of the assassination, adding, “But, I mean, everybody was.”

Barron Trump, who previously attended New York University’s Stern School of Business in Manhattan, is now reportedly enrolled at NYU’s Washington, D.C. campus. Sources indicated he has not returned to New York for his sophomore year, with some speculating the move may relate to security concerns following Kirk’s death.
