President Trump announced a new security initiative at the White House Ballroom designed to protect Washington, D.C. from modern aerial threats. The project, named the DronePort, will be described as “the most sophisticated anywhere in the World” by the president.

The announcement was made on Truth Social, where Trump emphasized that the system would safeguard the nation’s capital for the future. He argued America cannot defend its capital with outdated methods such as “rifles and pistols” given today’s advanced drone technology.

Trump also directly criticized Judge Richard Leon, accusing him of jeopardizing national security by allowing sensitive information to be released through a lawsuit he labeled “ridiculous.” The judge has been involved in a case initiated by what Trump called a “highly litigious serial plaintiff” who lacks legal standing due to the construction project.

In his social media post, Trump stated: “The DronePort at the White House Ballroom will be, perhaps, the most sophisticated anywhere in the World! It will safeguard our Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C., long into the future. Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America’s Security!”

He further warned that if harm occurred because of the project, Judge Leon would be held responsible for “the Death and Destruction caused to our Country” and demanded immediate dismissal of the lawsuit.

The administration has framed the DronePort as a critical response to emerging threats, noting that the White House cannot be defended using methods from the past. The initiative has become part of ongoing debates about White House construction and security priorities.
