Turning Point USA has announced its first university campus event since the assassination of founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last week. The gathering is set to take place at the University of Minnesota, where Daily Wire host Michael Knowles will serve as the keynote speaker.
Knowles’ appearance comes after TPUSA adjusted its schedule following Kirk’s death. The revised plan was unveiled on Monday, just before the first event was scheduled to begin. Knowles has confirmed he will address attendees tonight, acknowledging Kirk’s absence with an “empty chair on stage” and a tribute to the late leader. He also plans to open the floor for an “open conversation.”
The organization has outlined a series of upcoming events across U.S. campuses. The next session, scheduled for Wednesday, will feature Sirius XM podcast host Megyn Kelly and Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA). TPUSA will return to Utah on September 30 for a visit to Utah State University, where speakers include Alex Clark, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and former Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-UT). Additional events are set to include Vivek Ramaswamy, Governor Greg Gianforte (R-MT), Glenn Beck, Tucker Carlson, Allie Beth Stuckey, Governor Jeff Landry (R-LA), actor Rob Schneider, and Frank Turek.
