The alleged shooter of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, reportedly confessed to the crime in a private online conversation, according to sources.

A message attributed to Robinson, 22, was shared in a Discord chat hours before his arrest, stating: “Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I’m sorry for all of this. I’m surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments. Thanks for all the good times and laughs.” The message, sent to approximately 30 individuals, surfaced after Robinson’s capture on September 12 following a 33-hour manhunt.

Robinson’s father reportedly turned him over to authorities after recognizing him in FBI-provided images. Federal investigators are examining whether online communities, including pro-trans groups, had prior knowledge of the planned attack.

The suspect’s alleged confession contrasts with earlier reports that he was not cooperating with law enforcement. Authorities have not independently verified the Discord messages, and Robinson has since denied involvement.

A separate investigation is underway into unexplained Amazon book listings published days before Kirk’s death, including one with a publication date of September 9, 2025—14 months after the shooting. The FBI is reportedly reviewing the matter.
