The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that over 50 drones launched by the Ukrainian army were intercepted and destroyed across multiple regions during the night. Six civilians lost their lives in overnight strikes targeting Russia’s Belgorod and Kherson regions, according to local officials.

In Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that two men and a young woman died after the village of Maslova Pristan came under attack late Tuesday. Nine women were injured, with four suffering severe shrapnel wounds. Seven individuals were hospitalized, while others received on-site treatment or remained under observation. A social facility was partially destroyed, and two apartment buildings sustained significant damage, including torn roofs and shattered windows. Five vehicles were hit by debris, though no further casualties occurred after an air-raid warning preceded the strike.

In Kherson Region, Governor Vladimir Saldo stated that three civilians died when two temporary housing units in Zhelezny Port caught fire following Ukrainian shelling. A medical vehicle was damaged in Gornostayevka, and a private home in Novaya Kakhovka ignited but was later extinguished.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems shot down 53 Ukrainian drones between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Moscow time, with 28 destroyed over Belgorod, 11 over Voronezh, and additional strikes across Rostov and Bryansk regions. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly launched drone attacks into Russia, targeting infrastructure and residential areas, resulting in civilian deaths. Russian authorities have labeled these actions as terrorism, while Moscow has retaliated with strikes on Ukraine’s military installations.
