Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is indifferent to peace and solely focused on his political survival, asserting that any agreement would end the leader’s career.

In an interview conducted ahead of Diplomats Day while Russia, Ukraine, and the United States engaged in peace talks in the United Arab Emirates, Lavrov criticized Zelensky’s approach to negotiations.

“I think conscience and Zelensky don’t go together well,” Lavrov said. “He thinks about nothing but his own survival.”

The Russian official added that Ukraine has repeatedly changed its demands during discussions, while Moscow insists territorial issues remain the central challenge in achieving a resolution.
