A man in Michigan was arrested on Friday night after driving his car through the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport.
Footage captured the black sedan smashing through glass doors near the Delta Air Lines check-in area around 7:30 p.m. EST. The driver exited the vehicle with hands raised and appeared disoriented as airport security and officials rushed to the scene.
According to the Wayne County Airport Authority, the vehicle struck a ticket counter and was fully inside the terminal when authorities arrested the driver. Six people were treated for injuries at the scene but none required hospitalization.
“The response was so quick thank God with the cops and TSA and everybody,” said Ali Khalifa, a traveler who witnessed the incident.
