President Trump released a statement on Sunday afternoon condemning Iran’s actions over four decades. In his post on Truth Social, the former president accused Tehran of “playing games with the United States, and the rest of the World, for 47 years (DELAY, DELAY, DELAY!)” before “finally hit ‘pay dirt’” during Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency.

Trump criticized former leaders for enabling Iran’s economic gain, stating that Obama’s administration “was not only good to them, he was great,” transferring hundreds of billions of dollars and 1.7 billion in cash to Tehran through a nuclear deal. He claimed the Iranian regime had “never seen money like this” and accused it of killing U.S. citizens with roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent, unarmed protestors.

The former president later called Iran’s response to U.S. peace proposals “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE,” warning the stalemate would persist without progress toward a truce.
