President Trump delivered late-stage endorsements Friday to two Republican candidates competing in contested governor’s primaries, backing Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette in South Carolina and Rep. Randy Feenstra in Iowa just days before Tuesday’s votes.

In Iowa, Trump posted his full endorsement of Feenstra on social media, declaring him “MAGA all the way.” The statement highlighted Feenstra’s claimed victory in previous gubernatorial elections and listed policy priorities including economic growth, tax cuts, border security, and military support. Feenstra faces four other Republican contenders in the primary: Eddie Andrews, Zach Lahn, Brad Sherman, and Adam Steen. Local Iowa media characterized Trump’s endorsement as potentially the most valuable boost for the race.

In South Carolina, Trump endorsed Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette over a crowded field that includes Rep. Nancy Mace and Attorney General Alan Wilson. The president also indicated that Henry McMaster Jr., son of the current governor, would serve as Evette’s running mate if she wins. Rep. Nancy Mace responded with a statement expressing respect for Trump but criticizing South Carolina’s political system, stating her campaign aims to “drain the swamp” and implement tax reforms while targeting a sanctuary sheriff. Attorney General Alan Wilson similarly reacted on social media, noting both primaries are set for Tuesday.
