Providence Police have released new surveillance footage of the Brown University shooting suspect, describing it as their clearest yet. However, the video still provides limited visibility of the suspect’s features due to inadequate camera coverage at the scene.

The Barus and Holley engineering and physics building, where the incident occurred, reportedly had fewer cameras than other parts of the university. This has made identification of defining characteristics extremely difficult for law enforcement.

Authorities describe the suspect as a man with a stocky build and an approximate height of 5 feet 8 inches. Recent footage shows the suspect appearing heavyset, though earlier video suggested a more slender frame. Questions remain about the delay in releasing this video, which authorities claim was found only recently.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest, and police are arranging interviews with students who were present at the location on Friday or Saturday.
