Daniel Bongino, a former MAGA podcaster who has served as FBI Deputy Director, is reportedly considering a significant decision about his future within the coming weeks.

Recent reports indicate that Bongino’s office has been largely cleared out, with his chief of staff assuming a new leadership role in Baltimore. However, sources close to the matter have denied claims that his office was empty but confirmed he is seriously weighing his departure from the agency.

The situation follows criticism directed at both Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel, as an alliance of active-duty and retired FBI personnel recently described the bureau as directionless under its current leadership.

Bongino had previously stated they expected some noise from a small group of former agents who remained loyal to the old Comey–Wray model.
