Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee have released an alleged birthday letter attributed to former President Donald Trump, which they claim was sent to Jeffrey Epstein. The document, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, includes a handwritten note and a drawing of a woman. Trump has denied authoring the letter, calling it false and filing a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the Journal.

The alleged letter, part of a 2003 album compiled for Epstein’s birthday, features exchanges between Trump and Epstein, such as:
“Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?”
“As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.”
“A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be a wonderful secret.”

The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A post from Taylor Budowich, a former Trump adviser, circulated images of what he claimed was an unmatched signature, accusing the Journal of defamation. Conservative analysts noted discrepancies in the handwriting. The documents were obtained from Epstein’s estate as part of ongoing investigations.
