The FBI has recently released over one hundred documents related to the fatal 2023 shooting at Covenant Christian School that claimed six lives.

These newly disclosed materials reveal why the Biden administration kept the shooter’s notebook hidden for so long.

In her notebook, Audrey Hale—a transgender man who carried out the attack—listed the pros and cons of several schools she considered targeting. Her analysis clearly indicates that she selected Covenant specifically to attack white Christian students.

The notebook details include:

COVENANT:
– “Predominantly white school (white pple I hate!!)”
– “Christian School (hate religion)”

This information was concealed for years until now.

The documents also show that Audrey Hale used federal student financial aid to purchase the firearms she deployed during the attack.

Among the materials released by the FBI is a handwritten page labeled “Account Savings Record” that references federal student loans. The entry states: “FAFSA [sic] grant checks started at $2,050.86,” followed by ledger-style notes documenting payments from Nossi College of Art and Design in Nashville where Hale was enrolled.

The financial records are accompanied by extensive notes about the weapons she intended to use.

Audrey Hale’s parents reportedly told Metro Nashville Police investigators in 2023 that their child had used federal Pell Grant funds to purchase the firearms used in the attack.

The situation underscores a troubling lack of oversight regarding how student loan money is utilized.
