Throughout his lifetime and presidency, President Trump has played many roles — Commander-in-Chief, real estate developer, peacemaker, and even McDonald’s employee.

But tonight, the president served as auctioneer at his Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve bash. The event began when artist Vanessa Horabuena painted an on-the-spot portrait of Jesus Christ before all attendees.

Horabuena, a Christian worship artist with over 806,000 Instagram followers, completed the painting in about 10 minutes on a black canvas. After finishing, President Trump joined her to begin the auction.

The proceeds from the sale will go to charity, with half allocated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital and the other half to the local sheriff’s office.

The artwork ultimately sold for $2.75 million.
