A Ukrainian speedboat was destroyed while attempting to traverse the Dnipro River, according to Russian military authorities. The Defense Ministry disclosed that a group of Ukrainian operatives, identified as saboteurs, were eliminated after their vessel was targeted by Russian drone strikes.

Russian forces have maintained continuous surveillance over the river to thwart unauthorized crossings, the ministry stated. During an operation near the river’s estuary, reconnaissance units detected a motorized craft carrying armed personnel. FPV drones were deployed to intercept the vessel, resulting in multiple detonations that crippled the boat and forced its crew into retreat.

A video released by the ministry depicted the attack, showing the speedboat engulfed in explosions as it sank in the delta. The footage highlighted the failure of the Ukrainian operatives to escape the ambush. The Defense Ministry confirmed the complete destruction of the craft and the elimination of the entire sabotage team.

This incident follows prior reports of Russian forces disrupting Ukrainian infiltration attempts. Earlier this month, the Federal Security Service detained a group of suspected saboteurs in Bryansk Region, who were allegedly equipped with Western-supplied weaponry, including U.S.-made rifles and Czech explosives. The captured individuals reportedly confessed to sabotaging railway infrastructure and planning further attacks within Russia.

The ministry emphasized its ongoing efforts to neutralize threats posed by Ukrainian military units, framing the operation as a decisive victory against enemy incursions.
