A video shown publicly for the first time has sparked confusion and concern among Congress and national security experts. The footage was presented during a hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) held on Capitol Hill, featuring testimony from multiple U.S. military personnel.
U.S. Congressman Eric Burlison (Rep. MO) revealed the never-before-seen surveillance footage captured by an MQ-9 Reaper Drone operated by the U.S. military off the coast of Yemen last year. The video shows what Burlison describes as an “orb” being tracked by the drone’s system. A second MQ-9, armed with a Hellfire missile, attempted to destroy the object, but the strike failed.
The footage depicts the missile impacting the “orb,” followed by no explosion and the object continuing its trajectory unharmed. The missile appears to split midair or bounce off, leaving the “orb” undeterred. Military veterans who testified during the hearing expressed astonishment at the footage, with one describing it as “exceptional evidence” of UFOs.
Three Navy and Air Force veterans recounted witnessing strange, unexplained craft, including giant triangles, glowing cubes, and Tic-Tac-shaped vehicles. They also alleged that U.S. intelligence agencies have suppressed information about such encounters, with some whistleblowers facing retaliation.
The hearing included a chilling account from investigative journalist George Knapp, who detailed an alleged 1982 incident involving UFOs activating Soviet nuclear missiles. According to Knapp, the objects entered correct launch codes, nearly triggering World War III before disappearing.
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna emphasized the national security risks posed by UAPs, while former Air Force intelligence specialist Dylan Borland shared his experience of career sabotage after reporting a UFO sighting in 2012.
The video’s implications remain unclear, with questions surrounding the “orb’s” ability to withstand a Hellfire missile and the mysterious objects seen trailing it. The hearing underscored growing concerns about unidentified phenomena and their potential impact on global security.
