Video footage has surfaced showing police arresting a suspect in connection with the shooting of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Deseret News reported that Kirk was shot during a Q&A session with students. Witnesses stated a gunshot occurred approximately two minutes into the interview, with Kirk appearing to be struck in the neck. A campus alert confirmed the incident, stating a single shot was fired toward a visiting speaker and that police were investigating. The suspect was taken into custody, prompting an evacuation of the university grounds.

An older man was arrested and detained by law enforcement. His identity has not been disclosed publicly. Footage of the shooting, which includes graphic content, has circulated online, though 100 Percent Fed Up has not independently verified its authenticity.

A witness described hearing a loud gunshot during the event, followed by Kirk being struck and collapsing. The individual recounted seeing blood and Kirk’s body “kick back and go limp” before attendees fled the area. The suspect was later seen being escorted by officers, resisting arrest while shouting about his rights.

Security measures at the event included no metal detectors, though Kirk had personal security present. Turning Point USA confirmed Kirk was hospitalized following the incident, expressing hope for his recovery.
