Sweden’s health minister, Elisabet Lann, collapsed during a government press conference on Tuesday, sparking concern among attendees. A video of the incident circulated widely, showing Lann, a member of the Christian Democrat party, falling to the ground while being introduced at the event. She hit her head on the lectern before being assisted by security personnel and other officials, including Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and party leader Ebba Busch.

Lann later returned to the room and attributed the incident to a “blood sugar drop,” stating, “This was not exactly a normal Tuesday.” The press conference was canceled, though Lann appeared uninjured. A reporter from DN described the scene as “really bad,” noting that she fell directly in front of them.

Lann, a municipal councilor in Gothenburg, had been recently appointed to the role after her predecessor, Acko Ankarberg Johansson, resigned the day prior. No immediate details were provided about whether Lann required further medical attention.
