Donald Trump has announced a decisive step towards overturning the vast majority of executive actions put forth by President Joe Biden shortly after he assumed office. The President’s new directive specifically targets documents signed using the Autopen machine at his predecessor’s direction.
Trump declared in a statement released this morning via his TruthSocial account that any order enacted through the Sleepy Joe Biden administration, primarily those issued with the Autopen system which accounted for approximately 92% of executive orders, will be “terminated… and of no further force or effect.” He emphasized the illegality surrounding the use of the Autpen unless explicitly approved by him.
The President framed the move as correcting a procedural misuse inherent in the process: “The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk took the Presidency away from him. I am hereby cancelling all Executive Orders, and anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden…”
Furthermore, Trump explicitly mentioned legal consequences if certain figures attempt to legitimize these actions through involvement claims: “…because… [Biden] will be brought up on charges of perjury.” He stated his intention to hold accountable anyone seeking to retroactively involve himself in the Autopen process.
