The White House has posted an unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) video file from 2013 via its official X account, describing it as a mysterious infrared recording of an eight-pointed star-like pattern in the Middle East.

The file, labeled DOW-UAP-PR38, was released under President Donald Trump’s initiative for transparency through the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). According to government records, the footage—a one-minute forty-six-second infrared capture from a U.S. military platform—shows an area of contrast resembling an eight-pointed star with arms of alternating length. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) notes the report was submitted by United States Central Command to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office and remains unresolved after over a decade.

The government explicitly states that the video does not include any verbal or written descriptions from the observer, and DVIDS cautions that the visual description is strictly informational rather than an analytical conclusion. The pattern appears to move within the sensor’s field of view before exiting the screen multiple times during the recording.

This release marks part of a broader effort by the Department of War to publicly share declassified UAP materials with no clearance requirements, as directed by President Trump. The DOW-UAP-PR38 file is among the earliest entries in PURSUE’s initial batch, highlighting ongoing government efforts to address unidentified phenomena without confirming their origin or nature.
