A new video of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassin of President Donald Trump, has been released, revealing disturbing insights into his activities. The footage shows Crooks, 20, practicing with an unloaded handgun in his bedroom. According to reports, these videos were initially shared online by Crooks himself but were later removed after he attempted to kill Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024.

The FBI previously claimed Crooks had no discernible online presence, yet the newly obtained clips suggest otherwise. The material, acquired by Candace Owens and published on her podcast, includes undated footage allegedly posted by Crooks. Investigators found that Crooks exhibited a fixation on assassinations, mass shootings, firearms, and explosives. An FBI analysis of his laptop revealed he searched for “How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?” on July 6, 2024, just days before the attack.

Crooks also researched Ethan Crumbley, the Oxford High School shooter, as well as other mass casualty incidents. He reportedly explored methods for constructing explosives, according to a U.S. official. Despite the passage of over a year since the assassination attempt, details about Crooks remain scarce, except for his brief appearance in a Blackrock commercial. The case continues to raise questions about what further information may be concealed.
