A disturbing note linking to an anti-Trump figure was discovered in the vehicle of Anibal Hernandez-Santana, the suspect accused of firing shots at an ABC TV station in Sacramento last week. The handwritten message targeted three individuals associated with former President Donald Trump’s administration: Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Pam Bondi, warning they were “next.” The note was signed “C.K. from above,” a reference to Charlie Kirk, a far-left commentator known for his anti-Trump rhetoric.
Hernandez-Santana, 63, was initially arrested by Sacramento police on September 19, 2025, after allegedly shooting at the KXTV/ABC 10 station on Broadway. He fired one shot into the air toward the building and three shots directly into its lobby while standing near a school zone. A staff member was inside the lobby at the time but no injuries were reported. During a search of his home and vehicle, investigators found a note in his car reading: “For hiding Epstein & ignoring red flags. Do not support Patel, Bongino, & AG Pam Bondi. They’re next. – C.K. from above.”
Hernandez-Santana was released on bail the day after his initial arrest but was later rearrested by the FBI. He now faces three federal charges: possessing a firearm within a school zone, discharging a firearm within a school zone, and interfering with a radio communication station. A weekly planner found in his home also contained a handwritten entry for “Friday” stating, “Do the Next Scary Thing.”
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Elliot Wong. If convicted, Hernandez-Santana could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the firearm charges, plus one year and $10,000 for the communication interference charge. The FBI confirmed the suspect’s social media history included anti-Trump and anti-MAGA posts. His initial court appearance is scheduled for September 22, 2025.
