The hashtag traces directly to Trump’s May 30, 2017, deleted tweet criticizing media coverage: “Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” he wrote, a message that garnered over 100,000 retweets and likes before being removed.
Trump has maintained his commitment to Truth Social since announcing it would be his sole social platform following Twitter’s acquisition by Elon Musk. He reiterated on Fox News this week: “I am not going on Twitter… I am going to stay on TRUTH.” The Trump Media & Technology Group, led by former Rep.
